Here's a gag The New Era published nearly a year ago. Much to my chagrin, it was one of the last gags cut from my book Mormon Life. My chagrin was not necessarily because I think the joke was particularly funny, but because the Young Women leader on the left is a caricature of my wife. Having already slipped pictures of my three children and myself into the book, this joke--combined with the four others--would have immortalized the family. Oh well, she never did appreciate being drawn with great big bug eyes anyway.

ReplyDeleteI just realized that this has a flip phone! A decade ago, flip phones were the thing, and I didn't even have a regular cell phone. I have a flip phone now, and my students make fun of me, but I am proud of it. :)
