We Utahn missionaries always had fun at the expense of the Southern Californian missionaries after the first snowfall. (Fortunately, for all of us, we weren't in an area where the missionaries had cars.)
Reminds me of the first snowfall at BYU. It was always easy to tell who the freshmen from So. California were (which, according to my recollection, may have accounted for at least half the studentbody).
The same applies to those from Arizona. When we lived there, if the weather got below 50 degrees, everyone was wearing winter coats and snow boots. I wore flip flops everyday just to mock those wimpy Arizonians.
This gag was big in my mission. Anyone who had survived a MN winner took the privilege of smiling at those who had not experienced tracting after an ice storm.
Since 2009, I've posted silly little gags to this website twice a week. My work has been featured in the New Era, For the Strength of the Youth, and The Friend (for some reason, I have yet to crack the Liahona). Between 2014 and 2016, my comic strip Mission Daze was featured in the Deseret News (back when newspapers were still a thing). I've published a plethora of activity books (links for which you can find on this page). Please stay a while and enjoy.
