I was always proud of the Mission President character I created for my missionary comic strip. The agitated, harried (and hairless) President captured just the right characteristics of your prototypical Mission President.My cartoonist friend, Kevin Beckstrom has created a Mission President, though, that blows mine out of the water. If you haven't been following his daily blog, The Beckstrom Buzz, you owe it to yourself to check out his series of Mission President gags. They are my favorite thing he's ever done--and that's saying something. (And check out the temple photo behind the President's desk, it's a small bit of inspired genius.)

ReplyDeleteI thoroughly enjoyed both of your mission president gags. I think Kevin could write a whole book of cartoons where nothing in the picture changes except the missionary and the color of the mission president's tie.
