The End is Near
When I was in an Elders Quorum Presidency a couple of years ago, we tried all sorts of stuff to motivate the quorum to get their home teaching done. We had a treat jar that we'd pass around every month, we showed clips from inspirational movies; but we never did this.
I wish I'd thought of it then although I doubt I could have found someone for the job (smelly guys in bathrobes with apocalyptic signs aren't nearly as prevalent as comic strips would have you believe). Sadly, I didn't think of it then and I didn't think of it now. Today's gag comes from faithful reader Eric V.

Maybe You Should Just Forgo the Definition
If you have to start your talk with a definition, please take it from Websters or the Bible Dictionary.

The Ultimate Dear John
With Valentine's Day just around the corner, I thought I'd run another "Dear John" strip. This time it's Elder Strong in the MTC, of all places.

Eight-Bit Love
I have a confession to make, I am not at all a gamer.* This must come as quite a shock to any long time readers aware of my affinity for other nerdy things.
So when I picked Modern Warfare 3 for this week's gag, I was doing so only because of some vague understanding that it's popular today. (Fortunate for me, my own children are young enough that the only video games they obsess over are the Lego-themed ones.) If there is another, more appropriate video game out there I should have used, please let me know.
Today's gag is based on an idea from faithful reader Clint C. Thanks, Clint.
*The last video game I spent any large amount of time on was Legend of Zelda: Three for the Super Nintendo. It was awesome!

Family Home Evening Activity
My favorite thing about today's gag (which appeared in both the New Era and Mormon Life) is the look of utter confusion on the Mom's face and the way teenager's kid sister dives right into his calculus homework with her crayon. Something tells me he's not passing this class.
