Prelude Music
Don't you love it when the organist cuts loose? The organ is usually plenty loud but every once in a while a good organist will open up the pipes and kick it up a notch!

We had an extremely talented organist. There was beautiful prelude music playing as we entered into the chapel; the music was familiar, but I couldn't recognize the hymn. As I listened more carefully, it became clear. It wasn't a hymn. It was the Oscar Mayer jingle! (Being played reverently, of course!)
ReplyDeleteBy the way, happy birthday!
ReplyDeleteEither that or her finger slips, and she hits "full organ" during the sacrament hymn. The spiders, mice and bats know I am not predictable.
ReplyDeleteHappy birthday to ya!
ReplyDeleteWe have organist issues, as in we never know who will be playing. Our regular organist has health issues, so we never know when he will be well enough to come and play. Sometimes we have musical missionaries who will play the piano. Sometimes it's a capella.
ReplyDeleteAnd now there's a techie fallback: me and my laptop linked to the Church website music section!
To add to that, no organist last Sunday so I fired up the laptop. Rather nice to have a prelude from the Tabernacle Choir: big thumbs up from the Bishop. Then a visitor offered to play the piano, so I turned the computer off again.
