Definition of Normal

When I was a missionary there was a lot of talk about "building relationships of trust." The idea being that if people could understand that missionaries are, for the most part, normal kids who just happen to have an extraordinary commitment to the gospel, they might be more inclined to listen to the missionaries' message. For that reason, missionaries were encouraged to bring a small photo album from home with pictures of families and friends. I got a lot of use out of my photo album, but I do wonder what folks would have thought had I been a little less than normal.
