Sacrament Meeting Numbers
There is a formula to determine the amount of budget a ward receives from the Church. A big component of that formula is sacrament meeting attendance. Believe me, today's gag isn't too far fetched. And since a big chunk of the budget goes towards the youth, it's safe to assume the guy carrying the cut-outs is the Young Men's President.

And when the sacrament attendance count is on the same week as the primary program...$$$!!
ReplyDeleteI was just going to say that... take the count the week you hold the Primary presentation! Or is it the other way around.
ReplyDeleteRather than counting sacrament attendance for every week, the Church has set the final month of each quarter as the counting month. (Or as many a ward clerk has termed it: "sweep weeks.")
DeleteIn the handbook, direction is given to hold the primary program within the last quarter of the year. That means that in order to have the primary program "count," it would have to be held in December--something that doesn't happen very often.
We've had it on the first Sunday in December before now...
