For nearly a decade I've published a Summer Movie Preview post without actually offering anything useful in the way of a summer movie preview. Let's continue that tradition, shall we?
Of course, this year everyone is looking forward to the conclusion of last year's big summer movie. Avengers: Endgame is the culmination of 22 movies and 11 years of a well-plotted plan by Marvel Studios.
With so much backstory, experts are suggesting casual fans familiarize themselves with a few movies before heading to the googolplex. According to those in the know, it is probably a good idea to have seen Avengers: Infinity War, Captain America: Civil War, and Captain Marvel prior to catching Endgame.
I'd humbly suggest another movie one that is often overlooked but critical to understanding Thanos' mindset before he snapped half of the universe's population into dust. That movie: Saturday's Warrior.
Just think of the untold misery that would have been avoided had Gamora not insisted on a viewing of that cheesy Latter-day Saint play on one of Thanos' daddy/daughter dates. Zero population is the answer, my friend indeed. I know most people are blaming Star Lord for the snapture, but shouldn't at least some of that blame be placed on his girlfriend?
