"New" Testament

The marketing team behind the New Testament certainly have done their job. Maybe when we get good at following Christ's teachings to love your enemies, judge not, and  turn the other cheek (just to name a few); we won't have to consider the doctrine "new." Until then, we'll keep practicing and keep calling it "new."
