Mistaken Identity
As a missionary, I too, was mistaken for a Catholic priest, a CIA agent, a cop, and a member of the Amish community (more times than I'd like to admit--all due to the Harrison Ford movie Witness (Slovene subtitles replaced any mention of the Amish with Mormons)). Although, I never was mistaken for a Hare Krishna, even though I once sported an unfortunately short haircut.

Missionary Comb Over
I drew this particular comic over 20 years ago. At that time, I had a full head of hair. It hits differently today.

Pioneer Do-over
Eighty percent of handcart deaths happened between the Martin and Willie handcart companies. So unless this couple pairs up with one of those two companies, chances are they are in for another uneventful journey.

Mission Haircut
There always seemed to be that one Elder who brought some clippers and was willing to cut hair. Being willing and knowing what they were doing were two different matters.

Pioneer Fast
Look at the calendar, we're now into July which means it is time for this website to publish gags making fun of the sacrifice the early Latter-day Saints made in settling Utah. (Yeah, I don't get it either.)
Today's gag is an anachronism and not just because seagulls haven't yet developed the ability of speech. During the early Utah years, days of fast were not held on Sundays but rather the first Thursday of the month.
Come to think of it, very few of the things published on this blog are factually accurate. <Sigh> What have I done with my life?
